Pablo Maronda Ruíz is the guitarist,
composer and lead singer in the emerging indie band Maronda, one of last year’s
surprise bands in the Benicassim FIB 2014 music festival. He barely graduated
in Law, and even when he did he could not differentiate between an injunction
and an indictment; all his energy was focused on the psychedelic sounds of US
West Coast bands, progressive rock and New Wave music. He has held several
jobs, such as shop assistant in several video stores, instructor in a centre
for the disabled, clerk, guitar teacher in a religious school and hospital
porter. And now, after years of sporadically contributing to fanzines and
blogs, he has made the leap to novels, appealing to Nick Hornby, Spanish playwright
Jardiel Poncela, and to whoever he meets in his literally meanderings.
Pablo
